Our Team

Natalie received her PhD in Computer Science from UC-San Diego and joined Abterra Bio soon after.  She enjoys BLASTing sequences and puzzles.

Stefano received his PhD in Bioinformatics from UC-San Diego and developed many of the repertoire analysis algorithms.  He enjoys long walks in a short canyon. 

Anand received his PhD in Bioinformatics from UC-San Diego and brings a broad skillset for next-generation sequencing and mass spectrometry data analysis.  He enjoys the outdoors, especially rock climbing.

Richard received his PhD in Biochemistry from Brigham Young University (BYU) and joined Abterra Bio after post-doctoral training in single-cell proteomics, also at BYU. When he’s not in the lab, Richard enjoys reading, board games, and martial arts.

Mar received her Bachelor of Science from UC-Davis.  She enjoys growing her urban jungle, hiking, and watching the Twilight series on repeat.

Qiulong joins Abterra Bio after 15 years in the biotech industry, including at WM Bioscience and eBioscience.  He enjoys accompanying serious fisherman on expeditions.

Miin received her PhD in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology from UC-San Diego.  When not analyzing mass spectra, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and listening to Korean music (not just K-pop).
