Natalie received her PhD in Computer Science from UC-San Diego and joined Abterra Bio soon after. She enjoys BLASTing sequences and puzzles.
Stefano Bonissone
CSO
Stefano received his PhD in Bioinformatics from UC-San Diego and developed many of the repertoire analysis algorithms. He enjoys long walks in a short canyon.
Thiago Lima
Director Of Operations
Thiago joined Abterra Bio after completing a Post-Doc at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. He enjoys music, surfing, and friendship.
Richard Carson
Bioanalytical Scientist III
Richard received his PhD in Biochemistry from Brigham Young University (BYU) and joined Abterra Bio after post-doctoral training in single-cell proteomics, also at BYU. When he’s not in the lab, Richard enjoys reading, board games, and martial arts.
Miin Lin
Bioinformatics Scientist I
Miin received her PhD in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology from UC-San Diego. When not analyzing mass spectra, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and listening to Korean music (not just K-pop).
Brinley Moorman
Research Associate II
Brinley received her Bachelor of Science from UC-Santa Barbara. Brinley enjoys the outdoors, cooking, and organizing meals into bento boxes.
